We’ve built SurveyMonkey to be an easy-to-use and intuitive tool. However, we understand that you have a busy schedule and may not always have the time to design a survey just how you’d like. That’s where our survey design services come in.

Our dedicated, trained survey designers will do all of the work to transform your survey into an online version. This includes adding all of the bells and whistles—such as skip logic, custom colors and logos. It is simple, fast and reliable.

Customer Experience

We’ve been working with hundreds of customers behind-the-scenes to really understand what services are most needed. We’d love to introduce you to just one, the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) South Florida Chapter, to show you our design services in action.

The USGBC is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to sustainable building and design construction, and is the creator of the LEED green building certification program. The South Florida Chapter is one of the largest USGBC Chapters with more than 1,000 members, including architects, general contractors, engineers, teachers, lawyers and a variety of other people concerned about sustainability and the environment.

Lee Cooke is the Executive Director of the USGBC South Florida Chapter. He has worked with SurveyMonkey’s design services team for survey designs including an architect’s HR survey, Chapter elections and a far-reaching membership survey.

Due to his background in journalism, marketing and the nonprofit sector, Lee had no problem coming up with survey content and the questions he wanted to ask. However, he struggled with getting his online survey to look exactly how he wanted. Our design team swooped in to the rescue. Here is our discussion with Lee where he describes how he worked with SurveyMonkey design services.

SM: How did the SurveyMonkey design team help you accomplish your goals?

Lee: With the design team’s help we were able to think about the best way to structure our survey. For example, we were able to combine questions, apply skip logic and make the overall survey shorter and smarter. SurveyMonkey also improved the look and feel of the survey—from logo to background colors.

SM: You’ve worked with the survey design team a few times. Did it help you become better at survey design?

Lee: Through working with the SurveyMonkey team, I definitely learned how to design better surveys. In fact, I was able to design a comprehensive membership survey on my own. I was initially nervous that it was too long. However, we received an excellent response rate with quality responses. This demonstrated to us the enthusiasm and passion of our members and it was also a compliment to the design of the survey.

SM: Can you share what the overall process of working with SurveyMonkey design services was like?

Lee: SurveyMonkey was always professional, quick and happy to educate me. The price was fair and the customer support was excellent.  Also, once SurveyMonkey helped design several surveys for us, I could use those as base for future surveys—that was a big benefit.

SM: What impact has SurveyMonkey had on your organization?

Lee: We have done several surveys and all have had a positive impact.  The money we saved running chapter elections through SurveyMonkey was enough to pay for our subscription fee. It was a very secure system and I was immediately able to see results. Our membership survey, which was easily integrated through our website, provided insights into steps we could take to retain members, and spotlighted educational programs our members wanted. We will do future surveys and I plan to base that off prior designs. I would—and do—highly recommend SurveyMonkey to others.
