How to Make Your Email Smarter

How many emails do you send every day?  Too many to count?  Well, what if every one of those emails could help you gather insights from customers, prospective clients, or employees–automatically?

We received just such an email from a customer this week, so had to share it.  Roger Courville, author of The Virtual Presenter’s Handbook, and co-founder of consulting firm, 1080 Group, includes survey links as part of his email signature block.  So simple, and yet so smart–we dig that.

Along with his usual coordinates (phone and email) and his social savvy handles (skype, twitter, blog), he includes two survey links that gather, and share, information.  Every “send,” “reply,” and “forward,” has been turned into a way to get that much smarter.

Here’s a screenshot of Roger’s email signature:

Got a creative way to distribute surveys?  We’d love to hear about it in the comments below.
